about-1With this quotation I, Nibedita Saha, a bereaved mother of “Kanishka Binayak Saha”, desire to express and share my precious as well as memorable days which, I had to cross in order to respect the journey of life. To share the every moments of my journey first of all I would like to convey my appreciation to Prof. Dr. Bernd Hoppe of University of Cologne, Germany and President of the Workshop of 10th International Workshop on Primary Hyperoxalaria for inviting me and giving me an opportunity to share my experiences during the journey with my son (Kanishka). I would also like to acknowledge my thanks to Dr. Dawn S. Milliner, M.D., Julie B. Olson, R. N., and all the members of Mayo Clinic, Primary Hyperoxaluria Center, Rochester, USA for identifying this devastating genetic problem Primary Hyperoxaluria (PH) of Kanishka through whom we came to know each other. Moreover, I am also grateful to the concern doctors and nurses in the Czech Republic (CZ) as well as the Transplant Centre Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM), Prague, CZ for their generous support and care bestowed upon Kanishka during his meticulous treatment and transplantation. Similarly, my respectful gratitude goes to the Rector of Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic, Principal of the Basic School Kvitkova where, Kanishka was a very beloved and sincere student for giving their unconditional and friendly co-operation to face the most difficult moment of my life. Last but not least, I would like to give my heartiest thanks to my parents, supporting husband, caring and thoughtful elder sister and brothers who gave me the strength and courage to say some words about their most adorable person “Kanishka”.
